closer to children and grandchildren. Retirees are invited to bring their adult children and Baby Boomers are invited to bring their
retired parents to help make housing decisions that will take them into their senior years.
Presentations will be held at 10am and 11am. They include:
Liz Taylor – Aging Deliberately Good for you for thinking about moving to a retirement community -- but which one? And what should you
look for? Liz Taylor, 35-year veteran in the aging profession (and growing older herself) offers you tips on figuring out your options.
Choosing a retirement community is a complicated puzzle that requires you to balance many factors -- and, when done right, will allow you
to create a wonderful new home for many years. What are your choices? What will you need? As Liz thinks about these issues for her own
aging, she offers some notions that might surprise you.
Eric Rovner, Benevia and Charlie Allen and Carolyn Lathrop, Windermere The decision to move to a retirement community typically
raises a whole list of related questions; what’s the best time and method to sell my home, how do I decide what to bring with me, how
do I sell/donate/discard items not coming with me, and how do I plan a stress-free move? Speakers Eric Rovner from Benevia, and
Charlie Allen and Carolyn Lathrop from Windermere will provide answers to these questions along with tips, techniques, and resources
to help simplify the process.
– Guests will also enjoy music by everyone’s favorite harpist, Bronn Journey, and refreshments prepared by local chefs.
– Enter a prize drawing to win our fantastic door-prizes which include a three-night Celebrity Cruise from Seattle to British
Columbia and "A Grand Night Out," including dinner, a show and overnight accommodations provided by The 5th Avenue Theatre.
